Vetting and Barring Scheme
Following the Bichard Inquiry Report the Department for Education and Skills and the Department of Health are planning the introduction of a new Vetting and Barring Scheme. It is for people whose jobs will bring them into contact with children and vulnerable adults, subject to Parliament approving the necessary legislation.
