A school with no timetable and no regular classes sounds like a recipe for chaos. But it's not. At the School in the Cloud students have access to a platform where they can find learning materials, general development workshops, the opportunity to consult with teachers and psychologists among others. Parents take responsibility for their child's educational progress and preparation for exams. The school gives them the tools and the opportunities.
School in the Cloud has nearly 30,000 students and more than 1,000 teachers and workshop coordinators. It is the largest homeschooling-supporting educational institution in Poland albeit not the only one. It is a new concept that transcends the physical boundaries of traditional schooling and embraces vast opportunities offered by digital technology. Its true power, however, lies in the ability to restore the joy of learning.
From Homeschooling to Self-Directed Learning
School in the Cloud is not just a real-life institution but also a visionary concept aimed at revolutionizing education. It is based on the belief that learning knows no bounds and can flourish in diverse environments. Article 37 of The Polish Law on School Education states the possibility of fulfilling the compulsory schooling requirement outside the traditional school setting. Traditional homeschooling operates within this model and so does its modernised form - School in the Cloud. It is learner centred and grew from a desire to offer a better education to young people. School in the Cloud is not only a real-life institution, but it is also a visionary concept belief that learning is a continuous process that knows no bounds and can take place in a diverse environment.
