The long road to eradicating poverty

In 1999, Tony Blair pledged to eradicate child poverty by 2020. Since then, there has been the mother of all recessions. Now serious action is needed to prevent children’s education and wellbeing from deteriorating. Graham Whitham from Save the Children crunches the figures and identifies what needs to be done to help children make the most of their lives.
