Talk Of The Town Whole School Approach To Speech, Language And Communication

This research by The Communication Trust demonstrates the powerful role of professional development for furthering whole school approaches to speech, language and communication support. Training sessions and ongoing mentoring for staff provided by Speech and Language Therapists, were shown in this research to successfully improve staff expertise and confidence in assessing and developing speech, language and communication, alongside boosting pupils’ speech, language and communication skills.
