Inprevious issues of InteracTive, we have looked at the many ICT-based resources for a number of
curriculum subjects, including music and the performing arts, modern foreign languages, citizenship
and design and technology, across all key stages. When it comes to the core subjects, however, it seems
appropriate to split our focus between the two phases rather than try to cover both primary and
secondary. This is particularly necessary with science, which is a big subject – and secondary science is
very different to what pupils have studied in primary school, especially when it comes to Key Stage 4.
Therefore, our look at science resources is being split into two parts. This issue we concentrate on
primary CDs and websites, and next issue we will do the same for secondary resources.
