Recent Changes in Intergenerational Mobility in Britain
This report investigates recent changes in social mobility and considers the relationship between income and performance at school for children born in 2000 and 2001. Developmental tests taken by children between the ages of three and five suggests clever children from poor families face being overtaken by less bright children from affluent homes by the age of seven.
