Neglect: Research Evidence To Inform Practice
Neglect has a wide-ranging impact on children and has a higher prevalence rate than other forms of childhood maltreatment such as physical or sexual abuse. This report by Action for Children shows that a fifth of front-line staff working with young children are not trained to combat child neglect and that neglected children will continue to slip through the net unless early stage signs are addressed.
