Empowering Teachers: Success For Learners
The Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education (ACME) has called on the Department of Education (DfE) to compile and promote national guidelines for the provision of career-long professional development for mathematics teachers in the UK. The report sets out the priorities for professional development of teachers for mathematics against the changing professional development landscape and makes recommendations for improving professional development for teachers of mathematics, in order to meet the mathematical needs of learners.
