How Do Young People Make Choices at 14 and 16?
In order to support young people’s decision–making at a time of greater and more complex choices, the Department of Education and Skills (DfES) commissioned the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) to explore how young people make the educational choices required of them at ages 14 and 16. This 155–page study explores the ways in which structural contexts and individual attributes interact both before and during the decision–making process.
