Households Below A Minimum Income Standard

This paper by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust examines changes in the adequacy of household incomes and looks at who is most likely to lack the income needed for an adequate standard of living. Even though young single people have the highest risk of being below the Minimum Income Standard (MIS), the great majority of people living below the standard continue to be in families with children.
