Admissions Appeals – Maintained Primary & Secondary Schools
This DCSF Statistical First Release provides information about appeals lodged by parents during the academic year 2007/08 against non-admission of their children to their preferred school. It details the number of appeals lodged, heard and the outcome. The figures show that the vast majority of children get into their first choice secondary school, and overall only 3.7 per cent of all admissions resulting in an appeal being heard.
