The changes to SEN funding

Changes to Special Education Needs (SEN) funding coming into effect in Spring 2013 and the introduction in September 2012 of the auxiliary aid requirement under The Equality Act, which will make all schools responsible for the provision of assistive technology, will have a big impact on the support that SEN users have come to expect. In this article Mark McCusker CEO of the British Assistive Technology Association (BATA) and CEO of Texthelp discusses the changes for SEN users, the common problems experienced and the technologies available.
