Using data to ensure that every child matters – case study

Help Children Achieve More, formally known as Every Child Matters, is an initiative brought in by the government to support children to be healthy, enjoy and achieve, among other very worthy aims. Schools have a central part to play in this initiative, particularly in narrowing the achievement gap between disadvantaged children and their peers. Here, Rosie Simmonds, Head teacher of Leverington Primary Academy, explains how pupil tracking has helped her school improve attainment levels and achieve an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
