Meeting the communication needs of SEN students

Young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders present school staff with specific difficulties, and require a classroom with a clear focus on structures and routines, the use of visual supports, and effective communication. This article provides some ideas on how technology can be used could be used as a possible tool to meet the learning and communication challenges faced by ASD students. No specialist hardware or software is needed to apply these strategies to many educational settings.
