Chaplaincy in Anglican Secondary Schools and Academies in England and Wales

This report by the Church Of England Archbishops’ Council Education Division highlights that churches are no longer abiding by the agreement to contribute to school costs. The report found that four in five of the schools had a designated Chaplain, who undertook a range of tasks, including providing pastoral care and leading collective worship. Almost all are directly funded from the school’s own budget. Leadership Briefing 8.11(95)
