Today’s children have more opportunities than ever before to learn from interactive technology. Students no longer just learn from textbooks or in a classroom – they also learn on tablets and mobile devices. This study, published by Frontiers in Psychology, shows that interactive media instruction, often via the use of iPads, can be equally as effective as one-on-one instruction when it comes to teaching young children. This new study, published in the Journal of Youth Studies, highlights a need for practitioners to discuss with teenagers safe ways to engage in so-called 'sexting', the sending of self-made, sexually explicit images sent via mobile phone or computers.
