A new report from Computeam titled 'A Student’s Perspective on the Modern Classroom' offers fascinating insights on current student attitudes towards technology and AI in education.
It revealed that UK secondary school students are eager to embrace technology in their education, but they often feel limited by a lack of resources and inadequate teacher training.
The study surveyed students across the nation and found that while a significant majority, 80%, reported saving up to five hours a week using educational technology, nearly one in five students believe their teachers do not possess sufficient understanding of the technology used in classrooms.
Furthermore, almost half of the students surveyed expressed that their schools lacked adequate technology resources, and a large proportion, 58%, desired more engaging lessons.
Students also showed a strong interest in learning about life after school, with 40% wanting more education on practical skills, and one in three calling for increased flexibility in learning locations.
